Words never seem adequate enough in a time like this, but today, family and friends are gathering in your honor.
Not to say goodbye but to celebrate your wonderful life on this earth that you so loved and shared through your beautiful photography.
You and I came to be so many years ago when BJ and Darci were very little. I didn't like you then, (lol) and it took me years to discover that I was just jealous of the two precious little jewels you had. Then Taylor came along and we got to know each other and became close. The jealousy disappeared and I was privileged to share the title of "other mother" because the word "step-mom" had such a bad connotation. You have always graciously shared the children and grandchildren with me, in good times and in bad, and I was honored.
I will always cherish the memories of our tearful times and the fun times we had together and with the kids. I will continue to strive to be the best other Mother and Grandmother I can be and care for BJ and Darci, and their children, Taylor, Logan and Ruby, in your honor. My heart hurts that you're gone and you will be missed every day, but knowing you are in heaven with Doug and past relatives gives me peace. You go with all of the love in this world from your family and friends.
Love, Debbie Walter

Leslie Roberts posted a condolenceAunt Evelyn was such a great person! Always helping others and just loved life. She loved photography, wish I had the chance to learn a thing or two about it because I too enjoy photography as well. I remember all the trips we took together like Niagra Falls and I went to Michigan a few times in the summer and winter. She will be missed. I wish I had gotten to see her before she passed but she is now with God and Doug. May God bless her soul
Annette Schuman posted a condolenceI will truly miss Evelyn. She was an amazing friend to me every summer in the campground in Canadian Lakes. We kept in tough over the winter months. She was a great encouragement to everyone that met her. She loved to show me her photos and share her life with me. I loved to watch her do her dance/walk through the campground.
