Alma Irene Henning

January 13, 1939 - December 19, 2021

Alma Irene Henning, age 82 of Six Lakes, passed away suddenly December 19, 2021, at her home. Family will greet friends and relatives Wednesday, December 22nd, from 4pm to 6pm at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus. A funeral service will be held in her honor Thursday morning at 11am, with visitation one hour prior, at the funeral home. Alma was born January 13, 1939, the daughter of the late Seamer and Olive (Reese) Stickler. She married the love of her life, David L. Henning, in 1960, and together the two grew their family to include two children. Sadly, David preceded her in death in 2009. Alma worked for many years as a secretary at Montabella Schools, and made many friends during her time there. She was a very regimented woman, and family knew not to mess with her routine. She had a generous heart, and was very giving of her time and talents, often donating handmade goods to charities and organizations. She found great joy when friends and family would stop by for a coffee and cookie. Alma enjoyed camping and traveling, and to crochet. She loved to laugh and had a fantastic sense of humor. Her family meant the world to her, and she would do anything for them. She was the loving mother of Jeffrey Henning and Rhonda (Frank) Randall; caring sister of Lloyd and Jack Stickler, Nelda Stratz, and Linda Knoblock; the best “GG”to grandchildren, Nick (Megan) Randall, Jennifer (Derek) Sellers, Todd (Brie) Henning, Farren (Natalie) Funsch, and Marissa Henning; and great-grandchildren, Allyse and Alivia Randall, Abe Sellers, Ace, Duke, Olive, Berkeley, and Dash Henning. Alma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Glenn and Jerry Stickler, and sisters, Jean May and Ada May.
