Mariah Marie Todd

Mariah Marie Todd, our beautiful and loving daughter, fiancée, sister, granddaughter, and niece, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 13, 2017 in Mount Pleasant, MI. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor on Friday, May 19th at 1:00 PM, at New Hope United Methodist Church in Mecosta. Pastor J.D. Saunders will officiate with burial to follow in West Wheatland Cemetery. Visitation will take place at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus, on Thursday evening from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Friday morning at the church from 12:00 PM to the time of service at 1:00 PM. Mariah was born December 15, 1993, the daughter of Peggy Riddell and Robert Todd. She was locally educated through Cross Roads Charter Academy in Big Rapids before attending Mid Michigan Community College and obtaining her Associate’s Degree as an MRI technician. Outgoing, sweet, kind, and helpful were all words used to describe Mariah. She was always there to go above and beyond for her family and friends when needed, and could always find the bright side of things. Mariah was on her high school volleyball team and basketball team, and remained active even after high school walking and running. She loved babysitting, attending Red Wings games, and her pets. But above all, spending time with her fiancé, Eric and her family was Mariah’s favorite. Her optimistic and caring nature will be deeply missed by her mother, Peggy Riddell (Robert Cooley); father, Robert Todd (Dawn Cassel); fiancé, Eric Phillips; siblings, Michael Hallock, Elicia Hallock, Kendan Todd, Ashton Miller, and Gavin Todd; step-siblings, Veronica Cortez, Johnathan Cortez, and Travis Robison; grandparents, Walter D. Todd, Ada Marie Lett-Todd, John Raymond Riddell, and Suzanne Eloise Davis; great-grandmother, Gineen; aunts and uncles, Walter W. Todd, Yvette Todd, Stacy Riddell, and Heather Riddell, and many nieces,nephews, cousins, and special friends. Mariah was preceded in death by her special cousin, Jalisa; beloved dog, Lady, and beloved cat, Sassy.
