Rollon Gary McIntyre

January 16, 1945 - April 15, 2022

Rollon Gary McIntyre, loving husband and great friend, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022, in Grand Rapids, MI. He was 77 years old. A memorial service will be held in Gary’s honor May 4th at 1:00 pm, at Chippewa Hills Baptist Church in Remus, with Pastor Chuck Richardson officiating. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the church, in lieu of flowers. Gary was born January 16, 1945 in Lansing, MI, the son of Rollie and Lois (Anderson) McIntyre. After high school, he proudly joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve, and served for six years. He married the love of his life, Carol, on December 31, 1966, and the two enjoyed 55 beautiful years together. After starting their lives together in Lansing, Gary and Carol decided to move to the Mecosta area, where Gary owned and operated a fireworks store. Firework displays were his passion, and he put on many community events which showed just that. Having such a huge heart, Gary was always trying to help others. He adored children, and volunteered many hours of his time to benefit children with special needs. His giving and caring nature will be greatly missed by his wife, Carol McIntyre; brother, Randy McIntyre, and numerous extended family members and friends.
