Ronald Lindsay Livingston

June 24, 1929 - January 1, 2014

age 84, of Mecosta, passed away January 1, 2013 at his home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 25th, at 11:00am at Hansen Janowicz Funeral Home in Remus. Pastor Randy Piatt will officiate. Ronald was born June 24, 1929, in Detroit, MI, the son of Alexander and Winifred (Taylor) Livingston. While living in the Detroit area, Ronald was a Dearborn school board member, and worked for AT & T for 42 years before retiring. It was then that he and his wife Kathy decided to move to the Mecosta area. Quiet, loving, genuine, and Intelligent, were all words used to describe Ronald. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, animals, and being near the water. Ronald was a hard worker throughout life; at one point he worked full time and went to school at night to earn his Mater’s Degree in Business. He was an avid reader and especially enjoyed books on history. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years, Kathy; children, Allan (Grace) Livingston, Ronald (Shauna) Livingston, Janet (Greg) Sables, Amy (William) Murdie, and Kelly (John) Heer; sister, Jeanne Whitford, and 12 grandchildren.
