As the daughter of Carl and Ardyth Wernette, I practically grew up with the Lehnerts, who owned a big dairy farm just down the road from us. I can remember Justin , Vickie and Dale since they were young and Phillip,Ralph and Linda who were older than I and have enjoyed their friendship. The story only gets better when Justin married Debra. By the time I got to Chippewa Hills High School, I had the good fortune to work with Debra ,who served as secretary. I admired her for outstanding work ethic, but most of all she was a mentor to me as well as many students in my class. Always pleasant, she had a great personality. I will always remember Debra for all the things she taught me. I will never forget her.

I am so sorry to learn about Deb.
I attended youth group with her many years ago while attending Sylvester Church. Deb was a friendly, outgoing fun person.

Deb was great! Being young and new to the area, she hooked me up with her dentist in Lakeview to get an abscessed wisdom tooth removed the day of girls basketball district game so I could coach that evening. She was the engine of the high school. Sad I wasn’t able to chat with her one more time. Prayers to her family and loved ones. Sincerely, the Lake Family
