Anne Virginia McMillan, age 80, of Stanwood, MI, formerly of Lake Orion and Rochester, MI, passed away peacefully at her home on September 2, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11:30 am at the Ch Read Obituary
I am very sorry to learn that Anne McMillan has passed away. She and I were in the Rochester High School Class of 1952. I looked at our Falcon Yearbook of 1952 and saw that Anne was Photography Editor of the Yearbook. Quite a responsibility. I'd like to think that she enjoyed working with the camera throughout her years. May you be strong through this difficult and sad time.

My sister Joanne (Stevens/Hoag) and I remember fondly your mom and the many times she took care of us as children. I remember when my mom ( Dorothy Schwark/Stevens) and I saw her at her home in Canadian lakes. She was still the same sweet person, but she recalled me as being the devil to take care of, we all had a good laugh. Losing your mom is really tough, like losing you best friend. She must have loved everyone, after all, she named her daughters after my sister and myself. I remember her trying to teach me to twirl the baton. She was just a great person. Full of fun and laughter. Even now when I twirl my golf club, she can pop in my mind. May all the found memories and love she brought into the world and family give you strength in the most difficult times you will face. She has now joined love ones that she has missed and loved. My dear, sweet Mother. All that you've done in the sake of love will never be forgotten, and forever imprinted in our hearts. You've made us laugh over the years, taught us to be strong and independent but most of all you and Dad have taught us to be loving, giving and gracious to those we love and those that love us back. I'll be thinking of you daily, as I always have only now surrounded by the unimaginable perfect world you so deserve to be in, surrounded by the love of those that preceded you and got their wings too. Please send our love to those we miss, and to Cindy, you can finally hold and love, but most of all please visit us in our dreams, especially Dad, your best friend and soul mate and watch over him when we can't, and help to guide us into His Kingdom where we will all be together again.
