I remember playing slow pitch soft ball with Joe in Lakeview back in the 70s..We weren't that good, but had great fun. Dallas Lincoln

Joe was a very special friend. I have known him for 55 plus years. I'll never forget the time I was driving down a street in Grand Rapids and saw a man on a very tall ladder painting a very large house and I recognized that it was Joe with one of his summer jobs. I stopped and he came down and we chatted for a very long time. He was always in the most surprising places. I will always cherish the memory of Joe.
