Obituary
Edmore - Albert William Fleury, age 66, of Edmore, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Alma, MI. Albert was born on December 5, 1951 in Detroit, MI, the son of Leo A. and Mary Eleanore (Wojtyniak) Fleury. He was raised in Detroit before moving to Weidman in 1972. Albert graduated from Chippewa High School.
He met Joan Marie Licari while playing Bingo in Mt. Pleasant at the Knight's of Columbus. They were married on August 7, 1993 at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church in Edmore, MI. Albert was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked and played Bingo at several VFW posts including Weidman and Sheridan. He also sold raffle tickets, poppies and tootsie rolls for the Knights of Columbus. Albert enjoyed hunting, sports esp. the Lions and the Tiger's, playing cards, camping, game shows, and playing the Lotto at the Crystal Flash and most recently at the Depot. He loved telling jokes, esp. about snow because of his last name.
Albert will be missed by his wife twenty-four years, Joan Marie Fleury of Edmore; four children Tina (Steve) Rudoni of Edmore, Jennifer Huber of Blanchard, Mario Licari of Six Lakes (Staci Seidelman of Portland), and Dawn (Michael) Pant of Manton; daughter-in-law Lara Licari of Six Lakes; son-in-law Chad Huber of Lake Isabella; grandchildren Steve, Mikale, Josie, Austin, Sabrina, Kennen, Braedy, Lucas, Addisen, and Milen; one brother Frankie "Frank" Fleury of Johannesburg; one half sister Donna Nasto of Texas; two nephews Frank Jr. and Vincent Fleury and friends.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Mary Fleury, and one half-brother Leo Fleury.
A Celebration of Life in Albert's memory will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM with visitation starting at 9:00 AM at St. Margaret Mary Alocoque Church in Edmore, MI with Father Dominic officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church. Those wishing to make a contribution in Albert's memory are asked to consider the Knights of Columbus or the Lester J. Sitts VFW Post 5065 in Sheridan.
