Albert D. Gross' Obituary
? Big Rapids Albert Delos Gross, 84, of Big Rapids passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010. He was born October 18, 1926 in Weidman, Michigan, the son of Delbert and Laura Mae Gross. Albert is survived by seven children, Dennis (Sue) Gross of White Cloud, Diane Smith of Wautoma, Wisconsin, Al (Sallie) Gross of Kalkaska, Robert Gross of Hemet, California, Chuck (Jane) Gross of Big Rapids, Debra (Jim) Walter of Paris, Cheryl (Walt) Nelson of Wyoming, Michigan, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, one brother Vern (Violet) Gross of Rosebush, one sister Mary Loomis of Lake, plus many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Vivian on October 11, 2010, one son Gary Gross, one son-in-law Bill Smith, two grandsons, three brothers and two sisters. Albert served in the United States Army in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He worked in highway construction. He loved his animals and was an avid deer hunter. Funeral services for Albert will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the Mohnke Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Hewlett of Hillside Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to service. Interment will follow at Crapo Cemetery. ?
