Alison Lynn Heltsley's Obituary
Lakeview-Alison Lynn (Spicer) Heltsley, age 34, of Greenville passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at her home. She was born in Hastings on June 7, 1987, the daughter of Patrick and Janet (Sutherlin) Spicer. Alison was raised in the Coral area and attended Lakeview Community Schools, where she participated in volleyball, cheerleading, and band, graduating with honors in 2005. She continued her education at Ferris State University and was employed as a certified nurse's assistant and in phlebotomy by ACE Home Health Care in Howard City, Spectrum Health Hospital in Big Rapids and most recently by Meadow Lark Retirement Village in Sparta. Alison married Jayson Heltsley in 2008 in Big Rapids. Alison loved spending time with her family and cherished every minute she had with her children. She enjoyed camping, golfing, music, arts and crafts and making things with her kids.
Alison is survived by her husband, Jayson; children, Dakoda Patrick Martin Heltsley, and Bently Michael Louis Heltsley; parents, Patrick and Janet Spicer of Coral; brothers, Joshua Arnold (Janel) Duby of Alpena, Scott Patrick (Mallory Alderton) Spicer of Hastings; numerous cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by infant brothers, Eric Patrick and Joshua Jonathon Spicer; grandparents, Helen Elizabeth Sutherlin, Marilyn June Spicer, Robert Norman Spicer; mother-in-law, Leissa Kay Heltsley; aunts, Barb, Julie; uncles, Doug, Joe, Dan.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Zach Nyhuis officiating. Interment will follow at West Pine Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4:00-7:00 PM on Friday, November 19, at the funeral chapel.
