Allen Tetsworth's Obituary
? Big Rapids- Allen Tetsworth, 51, of Big Rapids passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. He was born January 2, 1959 in Manistee, the son of Leonard J. and Alice (Witucki) Tetsworth. Al is survived by five brothers and sisters; Leonard (Julie) Tetsworth of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Phillip (Julia) Tetsworth of Big Rapids, Linda (Gerald) Gielczyk of Manistee, Marilyn Tetsworth and Lee Hansen of East Lake and Tom (Charlotte) Tetsworth of Big Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents. He will be forever remembered as "Uncle Al" to his nieces and nephews and great niece and great nephew, Will (Chrissy), Jason (Anne), Jessica, Jordan (Hunter), Allyson, Courtney, Marshall, Kate, Bailey and Ty. Also surviving are one aunt, Wanda Witucki of Manistee and numerous cousins. He graduated from Manistee Catholic Central High School in 1977. Al was a journeyman painter and retired from Ferris after 30 years of service in 2010. He enjoyed deer hunting, attending sporting events (especially for his nieces and nephews), auctions, garage sales and flea markets. He was Santa to hundreds of children in Big Rapids and Manistee for over 35 years. He was always there when you needed him for anything Al will be remembered as a kind and gentle man who did many things for people without their knowledge. His favorite saying was "Christmas is not just a day, it is a state of mind.BELIEVE!" Family members will greet friends on Friday, October 1, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Interment will be Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Manistee. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Marys Hospitality House of Wellston, Manistee Catholic Central Athletic Association or Spirit of the Season through Big Rapids Community Foundation. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
