Alyssa Jean Harmon's Obituary
Sand Lake - Alyssa Jean Harmon, 24, of Sand Lake, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 9, 2020.
She was born February 15, 1996, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Donald Harmon and Dottie Schumaker, and attended Kellogsville High School. Alyssa worked for Basic Technologies doing IT computer work.
She loved animals, especially insects, and if she found them in the house, she would catch them and release them outside. She also loved to read, go antique shopping with her grandma, vintage clothing, and especially hanging with her friends.
Alyssa is survived by her parents; her grandmother Julie Filmore; her grandfather Craig Schumaker; her Aunt Dawn Fewless; her uncles, Gary Adams Jr., and Dan, John, and Philip Harmon; several great aunts and uncles; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Roxie Allen-Billelo.
A Celebration of Alyssa's life will be from 1-4 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2020 at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Her remains will rest in the Woodville Cemetery near other family members.
