Amy Elizabeth Maxson's Obituary
Lakeview-Amy Elizabeth Maxson, age 54, of Edmore passed away peacefully, at her home on Thursday, April 15, 2021. She was born in Grand Rapids on March 1, 1967, the daughter of Noel and Elizabeth "Betty" (Schuh) Maxson. Amy was raised in the Sand Lake area where she attended Cedar Springs Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1986. Amy met the love of her life, Mark Roberts in 1989 and they spent 32 years building their life and raising a family together. She was the ultimate mom and grandma, her family meant everything to her. Amy loved to cook, clean and organize and offered to help anyone that would let her. She enjoyed camping, classic rock-n-roll music, going to yard sales, walking her dog and exploring the Trufant flea market. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Amy is survived by Mark Roberts; her son, Todd (Rebecca) Roberts of Edmore; daughters, Alisha (Kevin) Rudden of Ishpeming, Molly Maxson of Edmore; grandchildren, Brandon, Lacey, Lilly, Zeb, Charlie Jo, Alex, Vanessa, and Hunter; mother-in-law, Lorraine June; siblings, Brenda Norvell of Lakeview, Fondaleette (Ken) Duchemin of Croton, Eric (Elizabeth) Maxson of Lakeview, and Gary (Tammy) Maxson of Hardy Dam; her lifelong best friend, Terri Krenke; and her ever faithful support dog, Dexter.
She was preceded in death by an infant, James Henry Roberts; her parents; and father-in-law, James H. Roberts.
The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM-12:PM on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview. A graveside service will take place at Spencer Mills Cemetery following the visitation. All are invited to a benefit dinner at the Trufant DBS Hall immediately following the interment.
