Ann Jayne Baumann's Obituary
Ann Jayne (Seeley) Baumann

She was born in 1954 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of William and Jayne (Ardis) Seeley. Her siblings Terry and Carrie Seeley, Peggy (Seeley) and Jay Smith, Tom Seeley, Jim Seeley, Beth (Seeley) Helgeson and Kathleen (Seeley) and Pat Vondette.
On May 31st, 1975, Ann married the love of her life, Tim. Together they were blessed in life with four children and thirteen grandchildren; Todd (Brandy) Baumann (Kate 17, Ethan 15, Ben 13, Lily 7, and Evy 4), Brent Baumann (Liam 12 and Lucy 9), Kiley (Ryan) Alexy (Leiya 11, Colton 9 and Leo 5) and Brooke (Brent) Sorenson (Bowen 4 and Campbell 2). Ann is preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Lisa Seeley, and granddaughter, Eloise.
“Once a nurse, always a nurse.” No truer words could be used to describe Ann. Her love and affection for caring for her family spilled over into a longtime nursing career, touching countless lives. Ann spent many years in family practice tending to the needs of the Mt. Pleasant, Remus and Weidman, MI communities. In 1997, she, Tim and the kids moved to Fort Wayne, IN where she continued nursing at Brooklyn Medical Group. In retirement, she spent her time with family and enjoying her grandkids, making crafts, fishing, swimming, reading, sewing, gardening, wine and peanut M&Ms. She and Tim loved to travel, and she loved to cook and bake, building a much sought-after recipe collection.
Ann was a faithful, strong willed, matter-of-fact woman, with a huge heart and immense love for her family, especially her grandkids. Her legacy will be cherished by not only her family, but all the lives she touched daily.
A Memorial Mass will be held in Ann’s honor, Tuesday, December 7th, at 11:00 am, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Remus, with Father Tom Boufford as Celebrant. Visitation will be held Monday evening at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, with a Rosary service at 6:30pm, and again on Tuesday morning at the church, one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, and a luncheon will be prepared for Ann’s family and friends at the St. Michael Parish Center.
