Anne Roberta Hansen's Obituary
Lakeview-Anne Roberta Hansen, age 85, of Lakeview passed away at her home on Monday, December 25, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born in Lansing on March 4, 1938, to Vivien and Alice (Richards) Ruttan. Anne was raised in Lansing where she attended Lansing Sexton Schools. She graduated from Central Montcalm Adult Education in 1972. Anne married Clancy W. Hansen on August 18, 1956, in Sidney, and they settled in Stanton to raise their family. Throughout the years she was employed as a care giver, waitress and as a self-employed in-home health care aide, before retiring in 2003. Anne loved being a mother, and her home was often full of her kid's friends. She enjoyed attending church, knitting, reading, playing bingo and going to yard sales. Anne was an active member of the Lakeview Community Church, where she led small groups and hosted many events for "her ladies". She will be remembered for her kind heart, listening ear and love of her family. Anne will be forever missed and is survived by her children, Dixie (Preston) Mathews of Grand Rapids, Dianna Hansen of Lakeview, David (Sara) Hansen of Lakeview; grandchildren, Melissa (Jeff) McMillan, Tony (Megan) Petersen, Amy (Adam) Jones, Adam Johnston, Dakota Jacko, David Hansen II, Jonathan Hansen; 13 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Jeanie (Frank) Glowacki of Newaygo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clancy; and her parents, Vivien and Alice. A celebration of Anne's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Lakeview Community Church with Pastors Terry and Dave Hansen officiating. The family will greet friends for visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers those wishing to donate in Anne's memory are asked to consider Lakeview Community Church's Youth Center.
