Anne Margot Rust's Obituary
Ann Margot Rust, age 85, of Mecosta, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Margaret’s Meadows in Remus. A Memorial Mass will be held in her honor Friday, May 22nd at 11:00 AM, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Remus with Fr. Jim Wyse as Celebrant.
Ann was born October 31, 1929 in Germany, the daughter of Karl and Anna (Altschaeffner) Hennig. She married the love of her life Rudolf Rust on May 15, 1948 while still living in Germany. In 1954, the two decided to move their family to the United States.
Ann was a fantastic cook, and was very talented at knitting and crocheting. She was even a professional seamstress at one point in her life. She enjoyed time spent with her family and trips back to Germany throughout the years.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother with a huge heart and great sense of humor.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years, Rudolf; son, Alfred (Debbie) Rust; daughters, Christa (James) Strack, Darlene (John) Godbehere, Linda Mayer and Barbara Mayer; grandchildren, Shannon, Danielle and Shaun and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
