Armold Levona Steger's Obituary
Armold Levona "Lee" Steger passed away peacefully on April 27, 2023, at the age of 102. Lee's early education was in Clendenon, West Virginia.Lee met and married the love of her life, Joseph Fredrick Steger. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe, who died two months after their 50th wedding anniversary; two sisters, Alma Loucks, Madelyn DeArk; two brothers, Ray Arnold Adams, and "Jiggs" Charles Edwin Adams.Less is survived and will be missed by her attentive grandson, Stephen Joseph Kisor, of CA, many nieces, nephews, lots of kids they raised and treated like family, and a host of friends.As a faithful and active member of the Edmore Seventh-day Adventist Church, Lee leaves behind a loving church family. She is also mourned by a village of friends and colleagues, having worked in nursing care and as a cook at the Bentsen Memorial Home.Lee worked in food service for nearly 12 years beginning with opening day October 24, 1990, at Burger King in Edmore. She also gave over 12 years of volunteer service at the Curtis Building for the Montcalm County Commission on Aging. Lee overcame many obstacles in her long life, through her deep love and trust in God, her cheerful, positive, disposition, and dedicated work ethic.The celebration of Lee's life will take place Thursday, May 4, 2023, at the Edmore Seventh-day Adventist Church at 354 Gilson Street with Pastors David Gottshall, Robert Benson, and Ernest Wolf officiating the service. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Lee's memory can be made to 3ABN P.O. Box 220, West Frankfort, IL 62896.
