Arnold Edward Schwartz's Obituary
Big Rapids - Arnold E. Schwartz, 84, of Big Rapids, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Altercare of Big Rapids.
He was born May 24, 1938, in Grand Rapids, the son of Edward and Irene (Schuling) Schwartz, and lived most of his life there. For many years, Arnold worked for Stow and Davis Furniture Company, and moved to Big Rapids following retirement. He enjoyed classic cars and Honda's, loved listening to Elvis, and was very fond of dogs and cats.
Arnold was preceded in death by his wife Ruth in 2001. He is survived by three children, Glenna (Frank Herber) Schwartz of Big Rapids, Laura (Christopher) Argue of Reed City, and Eddie Schwartz of Grand Rapids; three grandchildren, Keith, Desiree, and Haleigh; two great-granddaughters, Calliope and Isabelle; his sisters Rose and Debbie; his brothers Mark and Marvin; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place, with no services planned at this time. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Animal Rescue Coalition (A.R.C.) of Mecosta County.
