Barbara Jean Fairbrother's Obituary
Edmore-Barbara Jean (Veenstra) Fairbrother, age 69, of Remus passed away at her home on Saturday, October 30, 2021, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Grand Rapids on May 16, 1952, the daughter of Gladys Veenstra. Barbara was raised in the Ada area where she attended Lowell Senior High School, graduating with the Class of 1971. She was employed by Electrolux in Greenville for over 12 years, prior to their closing. She was then employed by various convenience stores until her retirement. Barbara met Chuck Evans at her cousin's house in Millbrook and they spent over 25 years together before his passing in 2018. She enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens as well as being on a bowling league for several years. Barbara loved her family deeply and cherished the time spent with them, spoiling her grandbabies, and spending time with friends.
Barbara will forever by missed and is survived by her children, Kristy Reynolds (Shawn Marker) of Saranac, Brent Frisbie of Blanchard, Shawnithen Frisbie of Nashville; stepchildren, Dana Evans, Katie Evans, Tommy Evans, all of Tennessee; 19 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Beverly (Theodore) Plaunt of Barryton, Gladys Diane (David) Himebaugh of Lowell; "brother", Dave (Renae) Veenstra of Belding; brother-in-law, John (Tracy) Evans of Six Lakes; friend of 25 years, Vicki Stanley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and several cousins
Funeral services for Barbara will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore with Reverend Scott Manning officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral chapel.
