Barbara J. Graboskey's Obituary
Paris - Barbara J. Graboskey, 81, of Paris, passed away Thursday April 26, 2018, at Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids.
She was born August 27, 1936, in Reed City, the daughter of Lyle and Evangeline (Knapp) Hamilton, and graduated from Reed City High School in 1954. On November 20 of that same year, Barbara married Gary G. Graboskey.
For many years, Barb worked in the office of the Gardener-Denver Co. in Reed City. Later she worked for the Mecosta County Friend of the Court, the City of Big Rapids, ANR Pipeline, and more recently retired from Ferris State University.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Gary on December 23, 2012. Surviving are two sons, Dean of Paris, and Darrel of Kansas; one daughter Gae Lyn (John) Switzer of Tampa, FL; daughters-in-law Kim of Kentucky and Laura of Holland; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Debra in 1965, her parents, and 7 siblings.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2018, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with Pastor Devon Herrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Park Hill Cemetery near Paris. Barbara's family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 29, from 3-6 p.m., and at the funeral home prior to services on Monday. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
