Barbara Ann Hildebrand's Obituary
Barbara Ann Hildebrand, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on November 5, 1946, she was the cherished daughter of Rose (Novenske) and Murrel Raymond.
Barbara lived a life marked by quiet strength, kindness, and a joyfully, stubbornly independent spirit. She worked for 25 years at Chemical Bank, beginning as a teller in Stanton and later continuing her career in the Big Rapids location. Through dedication and hard work, she steadily advanced within the company, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues.
A woman of many passions, Barbara found great joy in gardening and was known as a wonderful cook. She was active in her community, serving on the school board and participating in the Women’s Republican Group in Mecosta County.
Barbara faced health challenges in the last years of her life with grace and without complaint. Despite the hardships, she remained fiercely independent and retained her warm, feisty nature that endeared her to so many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, in 2019, her beloved son, Mark Bellinger, and her siblings Arlene Kemp and Sonny Raymond.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, remembered dearly by her daughter, Brooke (David) Whipple; sister, Sandy Marshall; grandchildren, Blake (Tori) Bellinger, Nick (Holly) Bellinger, Mickey Whipple, and Belle Whipple; and her great- grandchildren, Olivia and Kayleigh.
Per Barbara’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held.
