Barbara Elaine McNutt's Obituary
Barbara Elaine McNutt, aged 83, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2024, at her residence in Lakeview, MI. Born on July 28, 1941, Barbara grew up in Greenville, MI, where she completed her high school education. Barbara was a loving mother and a friend to all animals, dedicating much of her time to supporting community activities. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her family to her beautiful gardens and the various pets she cherished throughout her life. Barbara was also known for her joy in visiting neighbors and bird watching, activities that reflected her love for community and nature. She was a devout member of Settlement Lutheran Church in Gowen, MI, where she participated in numerous church activities. Her faith and commitment to her church community were integral parts of her life. Barbara is survived by her brothers, Larry (Karen) Petersen and Richard (Linda) Petersen; brother-in-law, Ron Richards; daughter, Deborah (Dan) Otis; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Esther Petersen; sister, Carol Richards; and son, David Ingraham. A service to celebrate Barbara's life will be held at Settlement Lutheran Church, 1031 Johnson Road, Gowen, MI, on September 28, 2024, at 11 a. m. A luncheon will follow the service, providing an opportunity for friends and family to gather and remember Barbara's remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Barrie's House, a cause close to Barbara's heart. Barbara's legacy of kindness, community involvement, and love for nature will forever be cherished and remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
