Barbara Carol Soper's Obituary
Barbara Carol Soper passed away peacefully in her home with her husband William (Bill) Soper and her daughter Maureen (Roy) by her side. Barbara was born in Detroit and lived in Royal Oak, MI for many years prior to moving to Lakeview in 1985 with her husband Bill where she resided until her death. She was previously employed at the Wayne Oakland Bank in Royal Oak, Michigan prior to moving to Lakeview where she truly enjoyed working at the dime store in Lakeview and later Peddlers Patch. Barbara was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lakeview. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, one sister and three brothers. Barbara is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Soper; daughter, Maureen (Michael) Roy, granddaughter Kiera Roy; son, Mark Murphy; sisters, Judith (Victor) Street, TN, Joanne (Lauer); brother, Emmett (John) O'Malley; stepson, Randy (Fern) Soper, grandson Jeremy, granddaughter Jillian; stepdaughter, Kelli (Jay) VanTuil, granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Erin. A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lakeview with Rev. James VanderLaan officiating. The family will greet friends for visitation from 10:00 AM until time of service. Those wishing to donate in Barbara's memory are asked to consider St. Jude's Children's Hospital
