Barbara Jean Tank's Obituary
Barbara Jean Tank passed into the loving arms of our Lord on July 1, 2020 at Spectrum Butterworth Campus from complications associated with cancer. Barb had battled cancer previously and had been victorious over it. This time the victory was God given eternal peace, rest, and comfort in heaven.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents, George and Madlyne Wilkinson; her husband, Ken; brother, Richard; and daughter in law, Layne. She will be deeply missed by her children; daughter, Kris (Jim) Currence; son, Dennis Stine; grandchildren; Jimmy, Zach, Grace, and Brady; sisters; Helen, Janice, and Linda.
Barb's children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She, Kris, and Dennis enjoyed many camping trips through the years. Barb loved to travel. Each September, she and Ken would strike out in any chosen direction with the fifth wheeler in tow. Her creative side was evident in her ceramic work. She made many beautiful gifts for family and friends. There was a real love for nature, Native American history and art. The many deer, turkeys, and wildlife were constant entertainment for Barb and Ken outside their log home. There in the log home was where she was most at peace.
A heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses, nurse navigators, and the staff that cared for our precious loved one at Lemmen-Holton Cancer Center, and Spectrum Hospital facilities.
As she requested, cremation has taken place. A memorial will be planned on a date yet to be determined.
