Beatrice "Bea" Ann Gale's Obituary
Lakeview-Beatrice "Bea" Ann Gale, age 80, of Lakeview passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020. She was born in Grand Rapids on October 6, 1940 to James and Verna (Thompson) Male. She was raised in the Amble area and attended Morley Public Schools. Bea was married to Robert "Duke" Gale on November 25, 1978 at their home in Lakeview. They spent 40 happy years together before his passing in September of 2018. She was employed as a waitress and also as an Avon Lady for over 20 years before retiring in 2017. Bea enjoyed sewing, crafts, visiting with her customers and especially spending time with her family.
Bea is survived by her children, Debbie (John) Hallock of Lakeview, Laurie Smits of Howard City, Cindy (Jerry) Saffell of Lakeview, Renee (Jim) Fliearman of Cedar Springs; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Hazel (Dell) Finup of Lakeview and Rachel (Bob) Welch of Lakeview; brother, Vernon (Kate) Male of Greenville; nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Gordon Paulsen; grandson, Derek Gale; parents, Raymond and Verna Bush; brothers, James and Leslie; grandmother, Beatrice Thompson.
A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
