Beatrice Ida Welch's Obituary
Beatrice Ida (Brauher) Welch, age 75, of St. Louis passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Schnepp Senior Care Center, where she had lived for a number of years. Beatrice was born on March 7, 1949, in Alma, to Merle and Thelma (Raby) Brauher. She grew up in both the Riverdale and Vestaburg areas, attending school at Vestaburg High School. Bea is remembered as a person who loves to sing and cook. She also enjoyed fishing and had several fishhook stories. She was a charismatic person, who could easily make friends. Bea is survived by children, Denise Messner of Sumner, Randy Welch of Nashville, Dennis Welch of Alma ; grandchildren, Kasey Pearson of Elm Hall, Nicholas Messner of Edmore, Zachery (Riley) Messner of Riverdale; great-grandchildren, Jema Wright, Payton Messner, Elizabeth Wright; brothers, Clayton Brauher of St. Louis, Rodney (Mark) Brauher of California, William Brauher of Riverdale, Robert (Rebecca) Brauher of Vestaburg; sisters, Meriel Strong of Grand Blanc, Autumn Welch of Carson City, Jeanne Brauher of Missouri; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. Bea was preceded in death by her parents, Merle in 1997 and then Thelma in 2018; an infant child; first husband, Dennis Welch; significant-other, Chuck Burns; and brother-in-law, Stan Strong.
