Obituary
Edmore - Benjamin "Ben" Joe Gulick, age 45, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI. Ben was born on June 1, 1976, in Carson City, the son of Reginald Lee and Nancy Ellen (Betts) Gulick. Ben was raised in Ithaca and attended Ithaca Public Schools graduating with the class of 1994. Ben attended Saginaw Valley for 5 years. He then furthered his education with the Michigan Department of Corrections, in which he graduated with the class of 2000. He was employed as a corrections officer at the Jackson and Carson City Correctional Facilities for over 22 years. Ben married Rondell Elise Conner on February 23, 2003, in Stanton, MI. He enjoyed woodworking, sports, especially football, baseball, and hockey, but loved his children's sporting events. Ben loved history, but his passion was his family. Ben loved being a husband and a father, playing with and reading to his children. He lived to make his family happy and was very soft and sensitive with them. Ben was a member of the Ithaca Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Ben will be missed by his wife, Rondell Conner-Gulick of Carson City; his children, Cameron Conner, Keegan, Kyle, Bethany, Madalee, Elliott, Hunter, Sohaila, and Bellamy Gulick; his mother Nancy Gulick; his siblings, Timothy Stahl of Ithaca, Lee Ellen (Ben) Dowell of Rapid City, and Jamison (Jammie) Gulick of Ithaca.
He was preceded in death by his father Reginald Gulick.
Funeral services for Ben will be on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 1:00 P. M. at the Cedar Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church with a luncheon to follow. The family will accept friends for visitation on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 4:00 - 7:00 P. M. at the church. Those wishing to contribute in Ben's memory are asked to consider St. Judes Children's Hospital.
