Bernardine Bradford Brickey II's Obituary
Lakeview- Bernardine Bradford Brickey II, age 63, of Howard City passed away on April 25, 2021 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. Bernardine was born May 3, 1957 in Duluth, Minnesota to Bernardine and Kizzie (Hicks) Brickey. He was raised in many places due to his father being in the United States Air Force. He attended high school in Rockford, Illinois graduating with the class of 1975. Bernardine served his country honorably in the Navy from 1975 to 1979. Bernardine was employed at USPS for 42 years, retiring in 2018. He also worked at Lacks Enterprise in Grand Rapids from 2018 before his passing. Bernardine met Bernadithe Asas and were married on February 4, 2015 in Newaygo. He enjoyed motorcycling, hunting, especially deer, time in the woods, fishing, working on cars, rock music, watching movies, going to the Philippines, and most importantly spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Bernardine is survived by his wife; children, Brad (Allison) Brickey III of Reed City, Jake (Emily) Brickey of Six Lakes, Sheila Mae Doran of Phillipines, Wilnard Doron of Philippines; grandchildren, Sawyer, Loren, Colton, Blessy, Max; brothers and sisters, Becky Robinson, Stephanie Barber, Penny (Brian) Riley, Bernie Budsinski (Crystal) of Germany; and brother in-law, Tom Fiorenza.
Bernardine is preceded in death by his parents; his sister Ann Fiorenza.
Funeral Services will take place Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 11:00am at the Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview, MI. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 9am until time of service at the funeral chapel. The interment will take place at the Village of Lakeview Cemetery immediately following. Contributions in Bernardine's memory may be made to the family.
