Bernice Becker-Berns' Obituary
Bernice Becker-Berns, age 90, of Crystal formally of McBride passed away at her home on Thursday, September 7, 2017. Bernice was born on March 2, 1927 in McBride, the daughter of Sam and Lena (Denison) Hansen. Bernice was raised in McBride and attended Edmore High School and graduated class of 1945. Bernice married Myron Becker III in 1945 in Edmore. Myron later passed away and she later married J. William Berns in 1988 in Wayne. She was a store manager for 20 years and retired in 1997. Bernice was a member of the 1st Congregational Church of Wayne. She enjoyed golf, tennis, skiing but most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Bernice is survived by her children; Mike (Gloria), David, and Mark Becker, grandchildren; Melissa, Angela , and David Becker, Sandra Santiago, great-grandchildren; Erica, Alejondra, Luis Santiago, siblings; Robert Hansen, Edna Dyer, Margaret Peters, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; Sam and Lena, husbands; J. William and Myron, and siblings; Sam, John, Lucille, Lorraine, Marian.
Services for Bernice will be on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore with a visitation from 12 pm till the time of service. Pastor Andy Pugh will be officiating the service. A graveside service will be held at the Vinewood cemetery following the service.
