Betty Jean Campbell's Obituary
Betty Jean Campbell age 84, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 in Gown, MI. She was born December 31, 1931 in Wichita, KS the daughter of Robert E. and Margaret (Hoisington) Norman. Betty grew up between KS and MI eventually graduating in Edmore, MI. She was united in marriage to Ronald Campbell on July 10, 1945 in Montcalm County. Betty owned and operated Betty's Dress Shop in Edmore, MI. She eventually retired from Gibson's Refrigeration.
Betty enjoyed dancing, wood carving, making cakes and stamping. She especially enjoyed traveling all over the world and spending time with her family. Betty also enjoyed clogging, camping, bowling and doing puzzles. She was a proud member of the Red Hats and the Lakeview VFW Women's Auxiliary.
Betty is survived by her children; Kenneth Campbell of Edmore, Connie Cole of Lakeview and Shirley (Dave) Haddix of Edmore, 5 grandchildren; Stef, Kim, Dana, Angela and Ken, 8 great-grandchildren Kirstin, Breana, Haidyn, Kylie, Taylor, Hunter, Parker and Tifennie and 2 great-great-grandchildren; Cayson and Corban. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Graveside Services for Betty will take place at 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from Hill Crest Cemetery, Six Lakes, Michigan with Pastor Tom Colburn to officiate. Those planning a memorial contribution are asked to consider the Parkinson's Foundation instead of flowers.
