Betty Jean Klonowski's Obituary
Betty Jean Klonowski, age 81, of Six Lakes, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at her home. Betty was born September 17, 1937 in Lakeview, the daughter of Harold and Alice (Bard) Truman. She was raised in the Mecosta area and graduated from Mecosta High School class of 1952. Betty married James Franklin David on October 8, 1959 in Bath, MI.
Betty attended truck driving school, but ultimately worked as a clerk for 30 years and then, as an in-home health care giver and senior companion for over 20 years. She loved reading her Bible, doing word searches, watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and Soap Operas. She also liked going to flea markets, shopping, feeding and watching the birds and was a front porch professional spy. Betty liked to be flashy and look her best. Most importantly she loved spending time with Family and Friends. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church of Edmore and Curves.
Betty will be missed by her children Betty Schiffer of Lansing, James Wesley David of Lansing, Roxanne Ryan of Lansing, Beverly Kirrmann of Grand Ledge, and Bruce David of Six Lakes; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild on the way; and Baby Cakes, her # 1 four-legged companion.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Alice Truman; and granddaughter Jennifer Huhn.
Funeral Services for Betty will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Harold Goldberg officiating. The family will greet friends for visitation from 10:00 A.M. until the start of the service. Interment will be at North Eagle Cemetery in Eagle following the Service.
