? ? ? ? ? ? Big Rapids- Betty Lou Lindsey, 65 of Reed City, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 14, 2010. She was born on May 23, 1944 in Big Rapids, the daughter of Sherman Burdick and Geraldine Smock. Betty Lou is survived by one daughter, Jennifer (Virgil Lofquist) Lindsey of Reed City, 3 grandchildren, Jordon, Veronica and Katie, brother-in-law Dick (Belle Ann) Lindsey of Big Rapids, sisters-in-law, Marie (Darwin) Mishler of Paris, Treva Owen of Big Rapids, Sandy (Rob) Warner of Canadian Lakes and Terry (Edwin) Gilmore of Chippewa Lake plus many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ronald Lindsey and one brother, Richard Burdick. Betty was formerly a member of the United Methodist Church in Reed City. She worked for many years as a teachers aid in Reed City schools and had worked as a secretary at Ferris State University. Betty loved to read and loved Elvis Presley. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2010 at the Mohnke Funeral Home with William Routley officiating. Bettys family will greet visitors on Sunday at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Betty Lou at the Huntington Bank Reed City.
