Beulah "Jean" Ferguson's Obituary
Beulah "Jean" Ferguson, age 86 passed away at her home with family at her side. Jean was born November 20, 1928 in Sears, MI the daughter of Harry and Beulah (Gray) Gairns. Her family then moved to what was known as the "Family Farm" just south of Evart, MI.
Jean was united in marriage to Orria Donald Ferguson on March 10, 1946 on the Family Farm in Evart, MI. They were married for over 60 years. He preceded Jean in death on June 6, 2006. Jean loved her church; Edmore 1st Church of God. She also enjoyed singing at country gospel music jamborees, playing guitar, playing euchre at the Curtis Building and Pedro in Six Lakes, helping with the potluck dinners but most of all Jean enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Jean was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary, Post 2292, and The Edmore Senior Citizens; helping with their potluck dinners.
Jean is survived by her children; David and wife Paula of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Douglas and wife Kathy of Edmore, MI and Dennis and wife Cindy of Edmore, MI, 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 3 sisters in-law and 2 brothers in-law. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son; Steven at 11 months old and brother, William.
Celebration of Life Funeral Service will take place Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM from Brigham Funeral Chapel-Edmore with Pastor Steve Gulick officiating. Interment to take place in McBride Cemetery, McBride, MI. Visitation will be Monday, June 15, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Brigham Funeral Chapel, Edmore, MI. Those wishing to do a memorial contribution are asked in lieu of flowers please consider, Edmore 1st Church of God, Senior Center-Edmore or VFW Women's Auxiliary.
