Beverly Rose Galer's Obituary
Beverly Rose Galer, age 93, passed away peacefully December 31, 2021, at Comfort Care Assisted Living in Mt. Pleasant, MI. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
A visitation will be held at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 4-7 pm, as well as Thursday, January 6th, from 10-11 am. Following Thursday’s visitation, a Funeral Service will be held at 11 am with Patti Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Broomfield Township Cemetery.
Beverly was born December 13, 1928, the daughter of Xavier and Mary (Greene) Gaudard. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Roger Galer, on November 20, 1948. Together they raised their three daughters, Linda (Marvin) Hutson, Jane (Mick) Boyer, and Joie Rose, on the Gaudard family farm. Sadly, Roger passed away suddenly in 1976. Later, she was married to Chuck Gardner, who she found companionship with until his passing in 2010.
After graduating from Blanchard High School in 1945, she worked at the Times News in Mount Pleasant until she began raising her family. Later, she worked as a Secretary and PE Teacher at Blanchard High School. She then found her final career as an office manager at Tri County Electric in Blanchard. After 18+ years of dedicated service, she retired in 1988.
Beverly was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Pistons; but she loved watching her grandchildren play sports the most. Family was everything to her, and it was easy to see. She was always there for her family, friends, and community. Beverly enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing cards, going to the casino, and most of all attending sporting events. She will be remembered for her caring, fun-loving, and sometimes stubborn and strong-willed nature.
Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; first and second husband; brothers, Bill, Jack, and Joe; sisters, Donna, Shirley, and Mary Lou; grandsons, Roger Dale Hutson and Thad Boyer.
