Edmore- Billy Lee Pratt, age 74, of Vestaburg, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at home surrounded by family. Bill was born August 9, 1948, in Lansing, Michigan to Clayton and Edith (Allen) Pratt. He attended Everett Public Schools and started working at a young age. Bill was employed at Hitachi in Edmore for more than 30 years until his retirement in 2002.On September 4, 1976, Bill married Hazel Richards at the Vestaburg Church of Christ. They shared 33 years in marriage until Hazel passed in 2009. He enjoyed his family very much. Traveling, hunting, fishing, and visiting were some of his favorite pass times. His grandkids and motorcycle had an extra special place in his heart. Billy was a master of many things.Bill will be missed by children Debbie Pratt of Holt, Jerry Pratt of Lyons, Christopher (Kara) Thurber of Bath, DeeAnna (Josh) Hinderline of Vestaburg, John Hernandez of Alma; son-in-law John Hinderline of Mt. Pleasant; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; a sister Marie Pratt of Alma; significant other Rose Patch of Vestaburg; and many other family and friends.Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Hazel; siblings William Sledge, Martha Robbins, and Helen Place.Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at the Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore with Pastor Dan Palmer officiating. The family will receive friends at 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
