Bonita "Bonnie" Fay Youmans' Obituary
Lakeview- Bonita "Bonnie" Fay Youmans, age 79, of Lakeview passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. Bonnie was born on March 31, 1942, in Albia, Iowa to Acie and Darlene (Smith) Vargason. She was raised in Marion, IA, and attended Linn-Mar Community Schools, graduating with the class of 1960. Bonnie continued her education and earned an associate degree in Dental Hygiene. After moving to Michigan, she was employed as a bus driver for both Bentley High School in Flint and Lakeview Community Schools for over 18 years before her retirement in 2020. Bonnie met Victor "Wayne" Youmans in 1990 and they were married on June 22, 1991, in Flint. They spent over 24 happy years together before his passing in March of 2015. She loved God, her family, and life. Bonnie had a great sense of humor and enjoyed attending church functions at the Lakeview Free Methodist Church, where she was a member, music, her flower gardens, deer hunting, and Powder Puff Racing, which many times involved the family's SS Chevy.
Bonnie will forever be missed and is survived by her children, Ron J. Bellamy, and Jim (Shelly) Bellamy all of Vestaburg, Victor (Heidi) Youmans of Byron, Delbert (Colleen) Youmans of Flint; grandchildren, Melissa, Luke, Amanda, Jaimey, Ben, Jaart, Rhys, Jon, Janna, DJ; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn (Spencer) Morser of Anamosa, Iowa; brother, Dale (James) Vargason of Marion, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; parents, Acie and Darlene; daughter, Teresa Barnes and daughter in-law, Annette Louise Bellamy.
A funeral service will take place at 12:00 PM on Monday, August 2, 2021, at the Lakeview Free Methodist Church with Pastor Ted Johnson officiating. The family will accept friends from 11:00 AM until time of service. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Bonnie's name maybe payable to the family.
