Bonnie L. Dunn's Obituary
Bonnie Louise Dunn, age 64 of Big Rapids, passed away at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids on Thursday afternoon, May 30, 2013 of an extended illness and complications from surgery, with her caregiver husband, Donald at her side. She was born in Big Rapids to George and Liz (Sack) Oleson on August 30, 1948 and lived here her entire life. Bonnie graduated from Big Rapids High School in 1966, attended Ferris State and belonged to St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Bonnie loved flowers, taking care of her home, watching NASCAR racing and baseball. Her grandchildren were especially loved and the Christmas holiday was her favorite time with them. Bonnie was a wonderful housekeeper, cook and mom, making a lovely home for her family. She is survived by her husband, Donald, sons, Brian of Sanford, David (Kim) of Howard City, Dan (Melaine) of Indian Lake, grandchildren, Devin, Bryce, Karlyn, Keegan, Keeayra, Dawson, Mason and Pearson. She is also survived by her sister Kathy (Gary) Smith of Mt. Pleasant, mother-in-law Rose Ella Russell of Big Rapids, sisters-in-law Betty Goldammer of Big Rapids, Nancy Fairman of Manhattan, KS and Linda (Doug) Mann of Raleigh, NC, uncle Ron (Judy) Sack of Big Rapids, aunt Anne Clements of Battle Creek and numerous nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by a son, Kurt, her parents, George and Liz Oleson and brother and sister-in-law Tom and Diane Oleson. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2013 at the Mohnke Funeral Home with the Rev. John Bookshaw officiating. Bonnie's family will greet friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for distribution.
