Branko Bojicic's Obituary
Branko Bojicic: July 18th, 1955 – July 16th, 2023 of Stanwood, Michigan
Branko Bojicic, born in Belgrade, Serbia, was a son, a brother, an uncle, a husband, a father, a Papa, and a friend. Branko was born to Milutin and Branka in the former Yugoslavia. Following the early passing of his mother Branka, Branko immigrated to the United States in 1968 with his father Milutin and brother Bojica (Bo). After settling in Detroit, MI, their family grew with the addition of his second mother, Mileva, and two younger brothers, Vojislav and Milan.
Branko met his wonderful wife Trish of 37 years at the famous Cas Bar on Michigan Avenue in Detroit, MI. Together, they had two boys, Alex (Kate) and Ben (Erica). Branko was a Papa to 4 grandchildren Nikolas, Miriana, Lukas (Alex & Kate) and Branka (Ben & Erica). Branko was also a beloved uncle to Zorka and Milutin (Vojislav & Dushanka), Stevan and Todor (Milan & Ljudmila).
Branko was the epitome of the “American Dream”, working at Blue Cross for over 30 years to afford the best life for his family. His bravado and endearing demeanor allowed him to form strong relationships with everyone he met. Branko was an avid golfer who would beat you on the golf course and bring you back to the house and grill you a bone-in ribeye (well done, of course). When Branko was not shaking hands or kissing babies, he loved being a Papa to his 4 grandchildren. Branko had a way of “berbalizing” things with his family that made him one of a kind. He was a strong, level-headed man that always put his family first.
Branko left a mark on everyone’s life he met and is going to be missed dearly by his family and friends. Branko is preceded in death by his mother (Branka), father (Milutin), and brother (Bojica).
A funeral service will take place on Thursday July 20, 2023 at Harry J Will Funeral Home (37000 W Six Mile Road, Livonia, MI 48152) at 7:00 PM. A visitation will be from 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Home.
