Brenda Elizabeth Herzog's Obituary
Lakeview - Brenda Elizabeth Herzog, age 42, of Jackson passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home in Jackson. Brenda was born on December 13, 1976 in Lakeview, the daughter of Lynn and Beverly (Creel) Herzog. She was raised in Six Lakes and Stanton. Brenda was home schooled and earned her high school diploma in 1994. She then attended trade school and earned her certification as a CPN. She also attended Baker College and earned her Associates degree as a medical assistant and was certified as a phlebotomist. She continued to work in both fields for the rest of her life. Brenda was a proud mother and cherished spending time with her children and family. She volunteered at their school, coached her son's soccer team and was the den leader for their Cub Scouts group. She also liked to plan special things to do with her kids. She wasn't afraid to try new things or to convince her family to try them with her, even if it grossed them out. She was not a patient person; if it wasn't getting done, she would do it herself. Her favorite color was green, and she had a weird pickle fascination and liked the taste of pickle flavored ice cream, pop and cupcakes. Brenda enjoyed reading, shooting guns and playing pool. She was a member of the Family Worship Center and a pool league.
Brenda will be deeply missed and is survived by her sons, Cody and Justin Rought; her father, Lynn Herzog; her brothers, LJ (Trudy) Herzog and Bryan (Blandy Oaks) Herzog; and her sister, Crystal Herzog.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Herzog; and her sister, Anna Cavanaugh.
A celebration of Brenda's Life will take place at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at her sister Crystal's home located at 22075 20 Mile Rd. Paris, MI. A luncheon will follow the service. Condolences may be made utilizing the guestbook at www. brighamfuneralchapel. com
