Brenda Lu Eskew's Obituary
Lakeview - Brenda Lu Eskew, age 62, of Lakeview, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 02, 2016 at Pleasantridge Manor Adult Foster Care in Marion, Michigan. Brenda was born December 3, 1953 in Greenville, Michigan, the daughter of Ivan and Beverly (Townsend) VanNortwick. She was raised at Cook's Corners and in Turk Lake and graduated from Lakeview High School Class of 1972. Brenda attended Beauty College in Mt. Pleasant. Brenda met the love of her life Ronald Bruce Eskew in 1979 at Electrolux and they married on May 2, 1980. Brenda was employed by Lakeview Baptist Church as a School Secretary for over two years and then as a teacher for over eighteen years. She enjoyed crafting, music, fishing, camping. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church working with Bus Ministry for over twenty-five years and was well loved by many bus kids.
Brenda will be deeply missed by her husband Ronald Eskew of Lakeview; four children Heather (Doug) Beimers of Lowell, Jamika (Robert) Bain of Marion, Brian Eskew of Grand Rapids, Amber (Jacob) Gieseler of Lapeer; ten grandchildren Christian Beimers, Delaney Beimers, Reagan Gieseler, Wyatt Gieseler, Skylar Brooke Lowe, Alicia (Michael) Gignac, Trenton DeBoer; Allison DeBoer, Devyn Christensen, and Alexis Bain; three great-grandchildren Raeanne Pierce, London Pierce, and Ryker Gignac; several nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Ivan and Beverly VanNortwick; two stepmothers Barbara Blackmer-VanNortwick and Virginia VanNortwick; one baby brother Ron VanNortwick; one sister Kendra (Robert) Borden; one grand-daughter Aubreigh Bain; and one grandchild baby Gieseler.
Services for Brenda will be Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at Lakeview Baptist Church in Lakeview, Michigan with Pastor Zane Abberger officiating. Visitation for Brenda will be Friday, May 6, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview, Michigan and on Saturday, one hour before the service. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Brenda's memory may be made to Lakeview Baptist Church.
