Brian Scott Grider's Obituary
Lakeview-Brian Scott Grider, age 63, of Howard City passed away at his home on Monday, January 10, 2022. He was born in Pontiac on November 27, 1958, to Raymond and Audrey (Ruttan) Grider, and was raised in Warren. Brian was employed by General Motors as a metal model maker in the design center for over 31 years prior to his retirement in 2016. During that time, he was known for expert detail work on prototype cars. He married Patsy Cornell on October 27, 2011, in Fraser. Brian enjoyed fishing for salmon and walleye with his brothers, astronomy and collecting telescopes. He had one of the largest collections of vintage Unitron telescopes in the USA. Brian was a very kind, gentle and intelligent man, who loved his family deeply and cherished the time he spent with them.
Brian will forever be missed and is survived by his wife, Patsy of Howard City; daughters, Laura and Michelle Grider, both of St. Clair Shores; stepsons, John Williams (Judy) of SC, Larry (Beth) Cornell of Comstock Park, MI, Alex (Jordyn) Cornell of Kent City, MI; grandchildren, Azara, Landon, Parker and Caleb; brother, Dennis Grider of Algonac MI, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Audrey; and 3 brothers, Lowell, Steve and Dean.
