Knoxville, TN - Brian Darold Steig, 55, of Reed City passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, from heart complications.
He was born July 27, 1963, in Reed City, the son of Darold Dean and Nina Lois (Johnson) Steig. Brian was a lover of the outdoors, talking to people and telling them stories. He was a very dependable provider for his family and was there for others more than he was for himself. Brian loved working with his hands, which included things like, playing guitar, singing with his wife and kids, and fixing whatever he could. His current job was at Sidney James Motor Lodge where he was a maintenance man. Beloved father and husband of wife Kathy Kaye (nee Knapp), son Christopher Brian Steig, daughters Ashley K. Holden and Jamie Marie Steig. Brian was preceded in death by his parents, beloved Uncle Lynwood and Aunt Fay as well as many other aunts and uncles. We the family and many extended friends and family will cherish the time and memories that we had with him. Brian's biggest passion was to be a part of a positive movement and to change people's lives with life leadership information.
Brian's family will greet friends from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, for a remembrance of Brian's life.
