Bruce Wayne Dyer's Obituary
Edmore - Bruce Wayne Dyer, age 65, of Edmore, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at his home. Bruce was born on February 1, 1954 at Edmore Hospital, the son of Ivan J. and Audrey J. (Mortensen) Dyer. He was raised in McBride and graduated from Montabella High School Class of 1973. Upon graduation, Bruce attended Sydney College obtaining his Associates Degree in 1975. Bruce had been employed as a clerk for Montcalm Central Bank in Stanton for several years. He enjoyed coin and stamp collecting and watching TV. He took excellent care of his mother and spent time with her every night. He loved kids and treasured the time he spent with his nieces and nephews. He had a deep love for animals especially his cat Mary.
Bruce is survived in death by his mother Audrey Dyer of McBride; siblings Brian (Michele) Dyer of Okemos, Barry (Carol) Dyer of Greenville, Blair Allen (Joy) Dyer of Pickford, Susie (Stewart) Stratton of Stanton, Debra Danner (Jeff Emard) of Ionia, and Tracey (Kevin) Rios of McBride; and countless nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Bruce will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 1:00 p. m. at the Brigham Building (6055 Howard City-Edmore Rd, Vestaburg, MI) with Pastor Steve Dobbins officiating. The family will accept friends starting at 12:00 p. m. A luncheon at McBride Village Hall will follow the graveside services in McBride Cemetery. Those wishing to contribute in Bruce's memory are asked to consider the Montcalm County Humane Society, or the Church of Christ in McBride.
