Bruce Allen Sabin's Obituary
Bruce Allen Sabin age 85, passed away on January 22, 2025, at Arbor Grove Assisted Living in Alma, Michigan, surrounded by his family.Bruce was born on September 20,1939 in Edmore to his parents Leo and Lillian Sabin. For his 18 birthday, Bruce enlisted in the Marines, where he obtained the rank of Lance Corporal before being discharged in November of 1965.On July 15, 1961, Bruce married the love of his life, Jean Muterspaugh, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Together the two of them shared many memories. Some of their favorites included dancing and camping; although Bruce only tolerated camping because Jean loved it. He also enjoyed hunting and was a self-proclaimed gun enthusiast. Bruce had a special knack for being able to get a scope sighted in when no one else could. He took pride in being able to help others. Bruce enjoyed spending time with his family and never missed a grandkid's ball game.He will be missed by his wife, Jean; Children, Cheryl (Bill) Willis, Chris (Mary) Sabin; Grandchildren, Travis (Trenise) Sabin, Trenton (Morgan Winans) Sabin, Kenneth (Emily Hopkins) Belson, Cindy Belson, Billy (Darby Weaver) Willis, Brian (Tara Lehman) Willis, Brent (Erin) Willis; sister, Connie Stickler; 21 great-grandchildren; great-great-grandson; and many other special friends and family.Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Lillian; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Stickler, Bernard Smith; sister-in-law, Linda Prout.A visitation will take place on Friday, January 24, from 4-8PM at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore. A service in Bruce's honor will be held on Saturday, January 25, at 11 AM at Brigham Funeral Chapel. The family will greet guests from 10AM until the time of service.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or The Care Team Hospice.
