Bubba "Steven" Davy's Obituary
Lakeview-Bubba "Steven" Davy, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 5, 2021, at his home. He was born in Big Rapids on November 22, 1980, the son of Rick and Theresa (Schwartz) Davy. Bubba was raised in the Morley area where he attended Morley Stanwood Community Schools, graduating with the Class of 1999. He furthered his education, while in high school, at the Mecosta Osceola Career Center in Big Rapids. Bubba met Amparo Marie Rice twenty-two years ago in Lakeview. They were married on September 18, 2010, at the Blanchard Millpond. Bubba was employed at the Pine Hill Dairy Farm, he managed the Quarter Horse Congress in Ohio, he was a machinist at Forward Air Hydraulics, and for Bucher Hydraulics. Bubba enjoyed outdoor activities, music, his trucks, coon hunting dogs, he was an avid hunter, and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. He used to record the games to watch and yell at them repeatedly. He loved his family and was very proud of his children. He was a real good bullshiter and would often get free apple pies and shakes from McDonalds. Bubba was a member and Vice President of the National Turkey Association.
Bubba is survived by his wife, Amparo; 5 children, Chanse Marie (Brandon) Young of Grant, Duncan Kameron Rice of Trufant, Anthony John Nawrot of Big Rapids, Kolton Draco Jones of Morley, Aubrey Clair Falor of Sunfield; mother, Theresa Davy (Joe Jordan) of Howard City; sisters, Faith (Chad) Kwiataowski of Morley, Jillian (Tony) Valliere of Morley; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rick Davy; and newborn twin brothers, Michael and Mitchell.
A celebration of life will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Mike Fenton officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service. All are invited to attend a luncheon at the Hinton Township Hall immediately following the service.
