Burton "Gene" Beach's Obituary
Edmore-Burton "Gene" Beach, age 86, of Six Lakes, passed away at Lakeview Terrace on Sunday, September 22, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born the son of Charles and Maude (Longnecker) Beach on October 5, 1937, in Edmore. Gene was raised by Marvin and Hazel Deal in the Edmore area where he attended school. He was employed by Hitachi Magnetics in Edmore for over 37 years, retiring in 1997. Gene married Janet Shurlow in September of 1958 and together had four daughters before her passing in 1974. In March of 1976 he married Connie Richardson who also passed away in 2020 after 44 years of marriage. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping, and was also a member of the Six Lakes Masonic Lodge. Gene who was affectionately known as "Gramps" will be remembered as big-hearted man who loved his family and spending time with them.Gene is survived by his children, Terri (Doug) Hadder of Six Lakes, Shari Beach (Todd) of Six Lakes, Gina (Bob) Heath of Fenwick, Mari (Larry) Jensen of Stanton, Carrie (Randy) Rogers of Edmore, Stewart (Janice) Buskirk of Six Lakes; 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Deal of Sheridan; sisters-in-law, Deanna Ward of Six Lakes, Lois Leach of Beverly Hills, MI, Noreen Shurlow of Lakeview, Joyce Beach of Carson City; brother-in-law, Gary Richardson of California; many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his wives, Janet and Connie; son, Hoss Buskirk; parents, Charles and Maude Beach and Marvin and Hazel Deal; several brothers and 1 sister.Funeral services for Gene will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore with Dennis Brasington officiating. The family will greet friends for visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral chapel. Interment at Vinewood Cemetery will follow.
