Carol L. Beegle-Pullen, a beloved wife, sister, and cherished community member, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Born on February 11, 1944, in Detroit, MI, Carol lived a life filled with love, joy, and dedication to her family and work.
Carol attended school in Detroit, where she built the foundations of a life characterized by kindness and a love of learning. She enjoyed a fulfilling career at Ferris State University, where she served as a secretary in the school of optometry. Her commitment and friendly demeanor left a lasting impression on colleagues and students alike. After her retirement from Ferris, Carol continued to contribute her skills and warmth at Lincoln Financial Group.
Beyond her professional life, Carol found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a deep passion for gardening and spent countless hours tending to her flowers. An avid reader, she could often be found with a book in hand, lost in the worlds crafted by her favorite authors. Carol also loved taking leisurely rides and dining out, always appreciating the opportunity to explore and enjoy new experiences. She was a long time member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
Carol's greatest joy came from the love she shared with her family. She was deeply devoted to her husband, Rick, with whom she shared a bond of unwavering love and companionship. Her gentle spirit and warm heart made her a beloved figure among her family and friends, who will forever remember her as someone who was simply happy to be.
Carol's life was a testament to the beauty of finding joy in the everyday and cherishing the people and passions that make life meaningful. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Carol is survived by her husband of 24 years, Rick Pullen; sisters, Sharon (Robert) Pieciak and Gayle (Doug) Merkle; her stepchildren, Lori Krepps and Tim (Dawn) Pullen; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; her sister-in-law Chris (Roger) Kamen; brother-in-law Kim (Vicki) Pullen; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband William “Bill” Beegle.
A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 6, 2024, at the Ladner Cemetery in Rogers Heights, with Pastor Tyson Bentz officiating. Memorial donations in her name may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
