Since my mom owned the Dew Drop Inn, next door to Carol’s Grandma, where she visited often, Carol has had a special place in my heart. Then we had 8 years together at St. Mike’s, where we often played together on the playground. Except during the winter months when she and Jim were in Florida, they were always present at our Mecosta-Remus mini-reunion luncheons, where we shared more stories. Several of us from the class of 66 enjoyed a day with Carol in her home as she taught us how to make beautiful scarves. She set the most magnificent tables I have ever witnessed. She was so talented and always had a smile on her face. I will miss her dearly and look forward to the time when I can see her again. Jon and I send sincere condolences to Jim, her family, and loved ones.
