Carole Anne Geister's Obituary
Lakeview-Carole Geister, age 67, of Morley Passed away at her home on January 28, 2021 after a courageous 21-month battle with cancer. She was born in Carson City, Michigan on May 22, 1953 to Lester and Margaret "Peggy" (Ryan) Mitchell.
She left high school early and married Larry Geister on September 5, 1970. The following year they started their family, raising 4 children together. Carole spent 3 years during the marriage being a single mother. She taught her children about independence, strength and integrity.
She worked at Electrolux for 32 ½ years, until they closed. She went on to obtain her GED and her CNA license. In 2008 she began working at Morley Stanwood Community Schools as a janitor and then became a bus driver and a food service assistant. She retired in July 2019.
She enjoyed hunting, camping, traveling, dancing, and most importantly spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking for all of them and thrived on the noise they created. She was adventurous and always ready for fun. After her diagnosis, she convinced her children to take her parasailing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; son, Shane; sister, Judy; brothers, Timothy "Mike", and Patrick Mitchell.
She is survived by her daughters, Roxanne (David) Graham, Shannon (Michael) Sobieski; son, Daniel (Lisa) Geister; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister; 2 brothers; several very special in law siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Carole's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Gary Heim officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
